I've run into a probIem with git. Generally I set to false primary.ignorecase because I wished to modify the case of the names of some folders (since I'meters under 0SX with a casé-insensitive filesystem, thé changes weren't proven in any other case). When I drawn my data, I've observed that today every renamed folder shows up double on the repository, with both the older and the fresh name.

I don't know what to do to get rid of the old files since they put on't appear locally (I've try out to set primary.ignorecase to correct once again but it isn'testosterone levels supporting). May become a workaround equivalent to (for anothér case-insensitive OS: Windows) could help? I've experienced this exact same concern. Refactored a package deal title in Eclipse and switching to a prior build got destroyed due to the folder title not reverting. I'michael using Home windows 7, Git 1.7.0.2.msysgit.0 My folder had been renamed in Home windows to ' folder' but has been displayed as ' FoIder' in Git. l fixed the issue by rénaming it to ' FoIder' in Home windows and after that running: git mv 'FoIder' 'FoIder2' git mv 'FoIder2' 'folder' Note that since git 2.0.1 (August 2014), git mv Folder folder should simply work!
